I make sure that the way I'm interacting with you two and your loved ones, photographing, and editing is reflective of who you are and how things actually feel. It's a lot of the small little things like this that go a long way. My approach is more of a documentary style where candids are super important to me rather than choreographing every moment where you're posed and stiff which can lack the genuine emotions when looking back on your photos. It’s a balance of being goofballs and crack "that's what she said" jokes while also getting some serious editorial moments - I'm always happy to help give direction but also give space when you two want to connect.

Whether you want to take photos for your engagement, wedding, courthouse elopement, babymoon, or just for fun — my approach is slower, more thoughtful because I come from a place of empathy - understanding who you are, what is important to you, and how I can bring your story to life in a significant and meaningful way. I’m intentional with each of my couples to give you my highest quality of work which is
why I only take on a handful of weddings each year. I value my connection with my clients, and I hope my couples feel celebrated, supported, and completely comfortable with me on their wedding day. Trust and connection are essential to creating the most authentic and timeless photographs.

My approach to wedding photography diverges from the traditional expectation. I don’t want a wedding day to be about taking photos; I want the photos that are captured to be about the wedding day. My focus is on capturing genuine moments rather than staged ones. I never create from what is not there, nor do I stage elements in an untrue fashion. Being a documenter means to capture the truth of a moment. From the people, to the details, to the big and small moments, it all remains honest, like a memory that cannot be changed.
An artistic touch is something I have learned over the years. I love to experiment with flash and editorial techniques and film mediums that create imagery like no other; but my bottom line, my only request, is that you allow me to capture your day as truthfully as possible. Not to create something new, but to preserve something worth reliving.

I’m all about balance. I’m going to encourage you to be silly with each other, embrace your quirkiness as a couple, and let you crack all the sarcastic jokes. I don’t expect my couples to be full time models or know where to put their hands. To me this is more than just a job where I show up and take pretty photos for social media, I want to be friends and really get to know you so that you’ll feel comfortable being
super relaxed and enjoying our time together. You’ll end up forgetting that there’s a camera in-front of you and we’ll be cracking “that’s what she said” jokes! On the other hand, I want you to feel effortless in your photos, have elevated editorial images to look back on, and create a space to provide a high quality experience.

After nearly a decade of photographing weddings and love stories, I know a lot of do’s and don’ts to creating photos worth cherishing. Let’s be real, planning can be the most stressful part of every photo shoot or wedding. I absolutely love helping my couples research locations, figure out permits, places that could be closed or busy during certain seasons, and have a plan B if Mother Nature has something else in mind. Most of my couples ask: What do we wear for our shoot? When’s the best time to take our newlywed photos for perfect lighting? Where should we have our elopement ceremony? Do you know any florists, hair + makeup artists, or videographers? Literally everything from A to Z I got you covered and will help you every step of the way because you deserve someone that will help you plan ways to make your day as fun and stress-free as possible.

I'm not a fan of repeating other's work or following trends that are status-quo. My mission for photography is first and foremost to capture a couple in their genuine interactions and quirks, and second, to bring their vision for photos to life in their own unique way. I never shoot cookie-cutter to another photographers work- I take inspiration from some great creatives, but put my own twist on what I'm seeing in front of me and let your love story be what drives me to make something entirely new.
